1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AppliCraft ("Service"), operated by Orstrom Studio, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AppliCraft is an AI-powered platform that assists users in creating job application materials, including resumes, cover letters, and application responses. The Service includes:

• A Chrome browser extension for capturing job posting information
• Web-based application for managing job applications
• AI-powered generation of tailored application materials
• Analysis of job fit and application strategy

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use AppliCraft, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

4. Browser Extensions

4.1 Installation and Use

AppliCraft provides browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge that collect job posting information from supported job boards to facilitate application creation. By installing any of our extensions, you grant us permission to:

• Access and parse job posting data from websites you visit
• Store captured job information in your account
• Use the extension's functionality as described in our documentation

4.2 Extension Limitations

• Extensions only collect data when you actively trigger them
• Not all job boards are supported; compatibility may vary
• We are not responsible for changes to third-party job board websites that affect extension functionality
• Extension features and availability may vary slightly between browser platforms

4.3 Browser Store Compliance

Our extensions comply with the policies of their respective stores (Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, Microsoft Edge Add-ons). Any violations should be reported to support@applicraft.ai.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Credit System

AppliCraft uses a credit-based pricing model where:

• One (1) credit equals one (1) complete application package (analysis, resume, cover letter, and application responses)
• Credits are purchased through our website
• Current pricing: $2.99 per credit (subject to change with notice)

5.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed through Stripe
• All sales are in USD
• You must provide accurate payment information
• We do not store your payment card details

5.3 Beta Testing Credits

Beta testers receive:

• 10 free application credits upon account creation
• Lifetime 25% discount on all future credit purchases
• Beta status is tied to your account and non-transferable

5.4 Refund Policy

Unused Credits

Full refund available for unused credits within 30 days of purchase. If you've purchased credits but haven't used them, contact us at support@applicraft.ai within 30 days of your purchase date for a full refund to your original payment method. After 30 days, unused credits remain in your account but are not eligible for refund. Credits do not expire.

Payment Issues

If you were charged but credits weren't added to your account, contact us immediately—we'll resolve it within 24 hours.

Used Credits (Generated Materials)

Generally non-refundable once materials have been generated. Because AppliCraft delivers AI-generated content immediately upon use, credits spent on generated materials (resumes, cover letters, application responses) are typically non-refundable—the service has been delivered.

However, we evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis for:

• Technical failures: If a system error prevented your materials from generating properly, we'll restore your credits.
• Significant quality issues: If the generated materials are substantially unusable (not just in need of minor edits), contact us and we'll work with you to make it right—either by restoring credits or helping troubleshoot the issue.

We ask that you review your generated materials within 7 days of generation and contact us promptly if there's an issue.

Credit Bundles

Refunds for credit bundles follow the same policy:

• Fully unused bundle: Full refund within 30 days
• Partially used bundle: Refund available for unused portion within 30 days of purchase (e.g., if you bought 10 credits and used 3, we can refund 7)

What's Not Eligible for Refund

• Credits used to generate materials that were delivered successfully
• Requests made more than 30 days after purchase (for unused credits)
• Dissatisfaction with job search outcomes (AppliCraft helps you apply faster—we cannot guarantee interviews or job offers)
• Change of mind after materials have been generated and downloaded

Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank—we're committed to resolving issues directly and chargebacks may result in account suspension.

How to Request a Refund

Email us at support@applicraft.ai with:

• Your account email address
• Date of purchase (for unused credit refunds)
• Brief description of the issue (for quality-related requests)

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days and returned to your original payment method. The version of this policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing users. Price changes will not affect credits already purchased.

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 No Guarantees

AI-generated content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy, completeness, or quality of generated content
• Job interview callbacks or employment outcomes
• ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility or pass-through rates
• Grammatical perfection or factual accuracy

6.2 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing all AI-generated content before use
• Editing content to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
• Verifying that all information in your applications is truthful
• Ensuring materials meet specific job requirements
• Submitting applications through proper channels

6.3 No Misrepresentation

You agree not to misrepresent:

• Your qualifications, experience, or skills
• The origin of application materials (representing AI-generated content as entirely your own original work where disclosure is required)
• Your relationship with AppliCraft

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users
• Resell, redistribute, or share your account access with others
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond the provided Chrome extension
• Generate content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory
• Submit false job information intentionally to manipulate results
• Use the Service to spam employers or job boards

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our IP

The Service, including but not limited to its design, code, logos, text, graphics, and functionality, is owned by Orstrom Studio, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the information you provide to the Service (resume data, work history, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process your information to generate application materials
• Store your data as described in our Privacy Policy
• Use anonymized, aggregated data for service improvement

8.3 Generated Content

Content generated by the Service is provided for your personal use in job applications. While you may use this content freely, we retain the right to:

• Improve our AI models using anonymized interaction data
• Analyze usage patterns for service enhancement

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of AppliCraft is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Key data practices include:

• Storage of job application data in our database
• AI analysis using Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI, and Google Gemini APIs
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties

10. Third-Party Services

10.1 Service Providers

AppliCraft integrates with third-party services, including:

AI Services

• Anthropic (Claude AI) – AI-powered job analysis and application materials generation
• OpenAI (GPT models) – Alternative AI provider with fallback support
• Google Gemini – Cost-optimized AI provider for lite analysis features

Payment Processing

• Stripe – Payment processing for credit purchases

Data Storage & Infrastructure

• Vercel – Application hosting, deployment, and serverless functions
• Vercel Blob Storage – Secure storage for user-uploaded images and documents
• Upstash Redis – Rate limiting and performance optimization

Authentication & Communication

• NextAuth.js – Authentication framework for secure user login
• Resend – Transactional email delivery for magic link authentication

Your use of these services through AppliCraft is subject to their respective terms and policies.

10.2 Job Boards

When using our browser extensions on third-party job boards, you remain subject to those platforms' terms of service. We are not responsible for changes to job board functionality or policies. Supported job boards include Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, LinkedIn, BambooHR, SmartRecruiters, Jobvite, JazzHR, and Breezy HR.

11. Disclaimers and Warranties

11.1 Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11.2 No Employment Guarantees

We explicitly disclaim any warranties or guarantees regarding:

• Job interviews, callbacks, or employment offers
• Success rates or application outcomes
• Compatibility with specific ATS systems
• Elimination of bias in hiring processes

11.3 Beta Services

During beta testing, the Service may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. Beta users acknowledge they are testing pre-release functionality and accept associated risks.

11.4 AI Limitations

AI technology has inherent limitations including potential for:

• Factual inaccuracies or "hallucinations"
• Inconsistent outputs for similar inputs
• Biases present in training data
• Inability to understand context fully

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

12.1 No Consequential Damages

Orstrom Studio, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Lost employment opportunities
• Lost wages or income
• Damage to professional reputation
• Emotional distress
• Business interruption
• Loss of data

12.2 Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

12.3 Exclusions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Orstrom Studio, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Misrepresentation in job applications created using the Service
• Any content you provide to the Service

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@applicraft.ai. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits.

14.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of the Service
• Non-payment

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will cease
• Unused credits will be forfeited
• We may retain your data as required by law or our Privacy Policy
• Sections of these Terms that by nature should survive (liability, indemnification, etc.) will remain in effect

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• We will notify you via email or through the Service
• Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

If you do not agree to modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account termination.

16. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service
• Change pricing with reasonable notice
• Add or remove features
• Limit usage or impose new restrictions

We will attempt to provide advance notice of significant changes when feasible.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

17.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

17.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

17.3 Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@applicraft.ai to attempt informal resolution of the dispute.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Orstrom Studio, LLC regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

20. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

21. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
